ASAR responded for an evacuation of an injured hiker at Lake Katherine. Three people overnighted unexpectedly when a member of their party injured an ankle and was unable to walk out on her own power. ASAR members joined with a Sant Fe SAR team and began hiking up the Windsor Trail toward Lake Katherine early on 9/6/11. In the meantime, after a cold night out the subject's companions were highly motivated to help her limp out to the Cowles Trailhead where State police met her for transport.
